All electrical equipment deteriorates with age, as well as wear and tear from use. Every electrical installation therefore need to be inspected and tested at appropriate intervals during its lifetime to establish its condition is such that, subject to the completion of any necessary remedial work , the installation is safe to remain in service at least until the next inspection is due

Your electrics should be inspected and tested every

• 5 years for commercial premises
• 3 years for industrial premises
• 3 years for caravans
• 1 year for a swimming pool
